Two licensed Physical Therapists, one Physical Therapist Assistant, and one Massage Therapist deliver superior care in our facility located in downtown Southern Pines. Together, they have more than 45 years of experience in the field of Physical Therapy. Their friendliness, compassion and expertise are unparalleled by other providers in the Sandhills. 




Michelle Kaydo, PT MSPT

Michelle attended Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio where she earned her Bachelors of Arts in Biology in 2002 and her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2005. Before joining Southern Pines Physical Therapy in May of 2011, she had six years experience in outpatient orthopedics and has taken continuing education courses in Sports Medicine/Rehab for female athletes, McKenzie and Maitland Pilosophies, and Vestibula rehabilitation. In her time off, Michelle enjoys yoga, bicycling and vacationing to the beach.

Jim Brown, PTA

Jim earned his Bachelor of Science from Shepherd University and graduated from Mountain State University with a degree of PTA in 1998. He last worked at Bath Community Rehab and Wellness Center in Hot Springs, Virgina until he moved to Moore County in December of 2010. Prior to his career as a PTA, he had a dynamic background working in carpentry, farming, and lab research. He brings to Southern Pines Physical Therapy a varied background and the same compassionate care on which we pride ourselves.

Sue Stovall, PT DPT
Sue received her PT degree from Old Dominion University in 1982 and her Doctorate in PT from the University of Boston in 2005. She has been providing Physical Therapy in the area for more than 28 years. As a long established member, Sue has served the North Carolina Physical Therapy Association in many capacities including President and Vice President. She is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and her special interests include the treatment of total joints, back and neck rehabilitation.

In October of 2010, Sue won the prestigious Founder's Lecture Award from the North Carolina Physical Therapy Association.

Bionca Stanback, LMBT #7340


Bionca is a long-time member of the Southern Pines Physical Therapy family, originally as an intern while earning her Degree in Applied Science, and now as Southern Pines Physical Therapy's first massage therapist. A native to Moore County, Bionca is a Licensed Massage Bodywork Therapist and has a keen understanding of the role of Massage Therapy in physical rehabilitation. In addition to working with our Therapists to provide the best recovery plans, she also offers private massages in addition to, or separate from, physical therapy.
